Whether you're a regular who knows exactly what they want or a first-timer still deciding, the request system is designed to be quick and painless. Here's how it works.
How to Browse the Song Catalogue
Jamie uses a dedicated karaoke request app that lets you search thousands of songs from your phone. It's free to download, quick to search and you don't need to create an account.

Open the App
Download the karaoke request app from the App Store or Google Play. Links to both stores are below.
Step 2
Search for a Song
Type the song title or artist name into the search bar. The catalogue covers a wide range of artists, decades and genres.
Step 3
Check the Song
Tap the result to confirm you have the right track and version before submitting.
Step 4
Enter Your Name
Add the name you'd like Jamie to call out when it's your turn. Use the same name every time so Jamie can keep track.
Step 5
Submit Your Request
Hit send. Your request goes straight to Jamie's system and you'll be added to the singer rotation.
App links are set by Jamie. If a link appears to be incorrect, contact Jamie directly to confirm the current app.
No Phone? No Problem.
Not everyone wants to browse on a phone — and that's completely fine. Where available at the venue, Jamie provides a touchscreen request kiosk so every guest can take part.
The kiosk works the same way as the app. Search for your song, enter your name and you're in the rotation. Just look out for the kiosk near the performance area and follow the on-screen instructions.
The kiosk isn't available at every venue or event. If you're not sure whether it will be there on the night, check the event details or ask Jamie on the night.
What to Include With Your Request
When you submit a song request — whether through the app or the kiosk — Jamie needs two things to add you to the rotation correctly.
Your Name
The name you'd like Jamie to call out when it's your turn. Use the same name for every request so Jamie can keep track of where you are in the rotation. If you're doing a duet, include both names.
Song Title and Artist
The full title of the song and the name of the artist or band. Being specific helps — if there are multiple versions of a track, the right artist name makes sure you get the one you actually want.
Take a moment to double-check the song before you submit. It's much easier to correct a mistake in the app than mid-performance.
How the Singer Rotation Works
Once you've submitted your request, Jamie adds your name to the singer rotation. He works through the queue as fairly as possible throughout the night, calling each singer in turn.
Watch the screen and listen out — Jamie will call your name when it's nearly your turn so you have a moment to get ready. If you miss your slot, let Jamie know and he'll fit you back in.

Jamie works through the rotation and calls you up when your turn arrives. Keep an ear out — your name will be called before the track starts.
Step 3
Take the Stage
Collect the microphone, face the audience and enjoy your moment. The lyrics will be on the screen in front of you.
Jamie manages the rotation to give everyone a fair turn. Duets and group performances are welcome — just be aware these count towards each participating singer's place in the rotation. Submitting under different names to jump the queue isn't on, and Jamie will notice.
Can't Find Your Song?
The catalogue covers thousands of tracks across a wide range of artists, decades and genres. But no karaoke library is exhaustive, and occasionally a specific version or track simply won't be there.
If you search and can't find what you're after, the best thing to do is ask Jamie directly. He may be able to suggest an alternative version, a different track by the same artist, or let you know whether the song is likely to be available.
A Note on Explicit Content
Some tracks in the catalogue contain explicit lyrics. Not every venue will want these played during their karaoke night. Jamie may restrict explicit material depending on the venue, the audience and the time of night. If you're unsure whether your chosen song is suitable, it's always worth checking with Jamie before you submit.
Song availability may also vary between events depending on which equipment setup is in use. The catalogue is updated regularly, so a song that wasn't available previously may have been added since.
Common Questions About Song Requests
A few things guests often want to know before the night gets going.
Do I need to download an app?
You don't have to, but downloading the app is the easiest way to browse the catalogue and submit requests from your seat. It's free, quick to install and you don't need to create an account. If there's a kiosk at the venue, you can use that instead.
Can I request a song without a smartphone?
Yes. Where a touchscreen kiosk is available at the venue, you can use that to search and submit your request. If there's no kiosk on the night, ask Jamie and he'll do his best to help.
How does the singer rotation work?
Jamie adds every request to the queue and works through it fairly throughout the night. He calls each singer in turn — keep an eye on the screen and an ear out for your name.
Can Jamie change the key of a song?
It depends on the track. Some karaoke versions support key changes and Jamie can adjust the pitch up or down before the song starts. If you think you might need a key change, ask Jamie before your track begins rather than mid-song.

Please keep drinks away from the microphones and equipment. It's not about the fun — it's about making sure the kit keeps working for everyone. Set your drink down before you pick up the microphone.
